London, UK - Oleksandr Usyk, the reigning unified heavyweight champion, has announced plans to retire after two more fights, aiming to conclude his illustrious boxing career within the next two years. In a recent interview, Usyk stated, "I think two years, one and a half [left in boxing]. I feel great myself. I feel I have two fights to prepare [for], not more. Just two."

Usyk, who turned 38 last month, has maintained an unblemished professional record of 23 wins with no losses. His journey to the pinnacle of boxing includes becoming the undisputed cruiserweight champion before moving up to the heavyweight division, where he secured victories over notable opponents such as Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. His back-to-back wins against Fury, the most recent in December 2024, solidified his status as the heavyweight champion of the world.

Looking ahead, Usyk has expressed interest in facing the winner of the upcoming bout between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker, scheduled for February 22, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He remarked, "I will fight who will win, Joseph Parker, Daniel Dubois, no problem."

The potential rematch with Dubois carries added intrigue due to their controversial encounter in August 2023. In that fight, Dubois delivered a punch that knocked Usyk down, leading to debates over whether it was a low blow or a legitimate body shot. Usyk was given time to recover and ultimately secured victory, but the incident left some room for dispute.

As Usyk contemplates the final chapter of his career, the boxing community eagerly anticipates who will share the ring with him in these concluding bouts. His legacy as a two-division undisputed champion is already cemented, and his remaining fights promise to be significant events in the sport's history.
